What happens if nature changes so much that it becomes unrecognizable, if animals and plants that are so familiar are lost forever? In these paintings I focus on the stunning beauty of nature. We are drawn to that beauty, but at the same time, we exploit nature so much that the ecology which keeps us healthy is near breaking point.
These paintings ask whether we can still feel connected to a world radically transformed, and also ask us to consider the world on a time scale beyond the immediacy of our own lives.
